Meet our Staff!
Kimberly B. Hudson, MA, CCC-SLP
Kimberly earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from the University of Kentucky in 1992. She earned her Master of Arts in Communication Disorders from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1994. While completing her K-12 certification, Kimberly’s emphasis was in medical speech pathology. While completing her graduate work, Kimberly completed research on the effects of prenatal exposure to drugs and alcohol on language development.
Kimberly’s work experience has included the following settings: private practice, hospitals, rehabilitation units, skilled nursing facilities, birth-3 year old programs (First Steps), preschools, daycares, home health, voice clinic and graduate level instructor. Kimberly also served on a multi-disciplinary diagnostic team at the University of Kentucky’s Infant Toddler Evaluation Center. She has supervised graduate level clinicians and therapists completing their clinical fellowship.
Kimberly completed her dyslexia training and certification in 2007, under the direct teaching and supervision of Susan Barton, founder of Bright Solutions for Dyslexia in California. She became a member of the Bright Solutions for Dyslexia Speaker’s Bureau in 2008. She completed training in the Barton Reading & Spelling System and has been tutoring children using this program since August 2007. In March 2009, she completed all requirements to become a certified tutor using that program.
Kimberly was the keynote speaker for the 2009 Learning Disability Association of Kentucky’s Winter Conference. She is scheduled to present Professional Development Seminars to both public and private school systems throughout 2009.
Stacey D. Ashley, MS, CCC-SLP
Stacey graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders in 2005. She earned her Master of Science in Communication Disorders at the University of Kentucky in 2007. Stacey worked as a graduate assistant from August 2005 to May 2006.
Her clinical experience includes the following settings: university clinic, pediatric private practice, public early childhood center that consisted entirely of preschool and kindergarten classrooms, and long term health care facility. Stacey began working part-time at Associated Therapeutics in June 2005, and joined the practice full-time in May of 2007.
Stacey completed her dyslexia diagnostic training and certification in 2007, under the direct teaching and supervision of Susan Barton, founder of Bright Solutions for Dyslexia in California. In March 2009, she completed all requirements to become a certified tutor using that program.
